THERE WAS SO MUCH RAIN IN THE WHITE MOUNTAINS IN JUNE AND JULY THIS YEAR THAT:
The Dry River Wilderness was cited for false advertising;
Two miles of the Davis Path were determined to be Class 2 rapids;
Several sections of the AT were posted with rip tide warnings;
The Coast Guard installed channel markers in the sag between Davis and Stairs Mountains;
Noah almost re-floated the Ark to pick up some Trail Adopters, but finally decided that he didn’t want to deal with weird animals again;
The “African Queen” was seen moored at the intersection of Davis Path and Stairs Col Trail;
And finally,
DeLucia starting wearing a diver’s wet suit to work.
(What? You say he wears that every Friday?)
Never mind.
