We here with the AMC Berkshires are thrilled to formally introduce our 2013 trail crew leaders. We spent the last two weeks training with the staff at Camp Dodge, and now that we're all home together in the Berks we can't wait to hit the trails. This is shaping up to be an exciting season for us, and we have an amazing group of leaders to take it on. Here they are!
Sara Tamler
Trail Crew Field Coordinator

Hi! I’m native to Pittsburgh, PA and spent a few years at school
in Chicago. While this is my first time with the AMC, I’ve been working trails
for the last three years now all over the US. I’ve been on and led crews in
California, Arizona, New Mexico, South Dakota, Pennsylvania, and most recently
right here in Western Massachusetts for the 2011/2012 season. I fell in love
with New England and have spent the winter working in Vermont, and just went on
a long distance hike in Turkey that I’m still all amped up about. I’m trying to
learn the harmonica and it’s not going too well. I’m really excited to spend
another summer in Mass and get back out there on the trail!

Meg Wylie

The name's Meg! I'm beyond excited to work as a leader for
AMC Teen Trail Crews! I've lived my whole life in the smallest
of towns on the beautiful coast of Maine. I grew up working on a
variety of farms, canoeing, sea kayaking, and hiking and continue to find and
follow the outdoors wherever I can. I am a junior attending Tufts
University, surprisingly outside big city Boston, but am majoring in
Geology and Environmental Science. Ask me about marine invertebrates or
glaciers, I dare you.
While I've been an outdoor leader before I've never been a
part of a trail crew. I am excited to work hard and
teach these new skills of mine, and teach volunteers to be confident
and creative leaders as well. Can't wait to see you on the trail and in the
sunshine!
